Expertise

The Evaldesign Team has extensive national and international experience in program design and evaluation. We have a combined research and work experience of over thirty years. We have developed Research Designs and conducted Impact Assessments for a range of projects. Additionally we have worked on Planning and Organizational Capacity Building for multiple stakeholders.
The team has worked with Ministries of Education in India and Afghanistan and across a range of organizations including non-profits such as Pratham and international organizations such as the World Bank

Capacity Building - Selected Work

National Data Platform, Centre for Civil Society (2012-13) 
Involved in setting up the first data platform that compiles all national data on education. 
Inputs: Data procurement, cleaning and database structuring.

Research Team Set-up, State Government of Haryana (2011-12) 
A new research team consisting of 20 field research associates and central research associates – The Centre for Research and Experiments for Action and Policy (REAP) was set up to aid effective and innovative policy forecasting for the State Government of Haryana, Department of School Education. 

State Research Plan, State Government of Haryana (2012)         
Prepared State Planning Document that incorporated research activities into five-year plan for education policy research for the State Government of Haryana (Haryana).

VEC Empowerment, Pratham, UNICEF (2004-07) 
Location: Gujarat, India
Stakeholders: 1800 villages, 7 Districts
Inputs: Training of team of 80 to activate village education committees, awareness building, compilation of best practices

Read India, Pratham (2008-10) 
Location: Nationwide, India
Stakeholders: 21 States
Inputs: Training of 4000 employees to improve quality of primary education outcomes


International Experience

Emergency Education Rehabilitation Development Programme, Government of Afghanistan and World Bank (2010) 
Location: 5 provinces (Bamyan, Logar, Kapisa, Panjshir and Parwan) of Afghanistan. 
Stakeholder: Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of Afghanistan and The World Bank (Kabul, Afghanistan). 
Inputs: Evaluation design and implementation of Emergency Education Rehabilitation Development Programme (EERDP)
